Scribbling in Central Park

We love our park workshops so much!! And of course, we love Central Park, the heartbeat of all NYC parks. Please join us as the weather begins to turn towards cooler days, and fall in love with NYC all over again. 

This workshop will combine a bit of walking and noticing, creative expression, reflection, and connection with other New Yorkers taking the time to purposefully pause. We will meet at a location (sent to you closer to the event), have a quiet, sensory-based walk to our main gathering spot, and then do some fun drawing/scribbling/mark making and journal writing. All art and writing materials will be provided, although you are encouraged to bring a journal if you have one. 

No art experience necessary. Expressive arts work is for everyone no matter your background, skills, comfort, or confidence in the arts. We focus on combining creativity with non-judgment, support, and a space to leave your responsibilities behind for a couple of hours. All of our workshops welcome participants ages 16 and up.

Note: there will be walking and sitting on the ground. Please wear comfortable clothes, carry water, and if you would like, bring something to sit on. 

Expressive Arts NYC offers nourishing arts experiences that help New Yorkers slow down, create, and play so they can be whole human beings.

TICKET PRICE NOTE:  As with all of our events, we offer a tiered pricing model as part of our effort to be equitable in our offerings. The top two tiers represent the ability to pay a little extra, supporting folks who need to choose the low-cost tier. If you have expendable income after paying your monthly bills, please consider the higher rate to help others participate in our work.

In case of inclement weather, the workshop will be canceled. Participants will be welcome to a full refund, or may use their registration for another workshop in the future.
